| Binnowee B&B
is a traditional in-house, fully hosted bed and breakfast situated
in the beautiful Adelaide Hills, a short 5 minute drive from Stirling
and Aldgate and 10 minutes from the historic township of Hahndorf.
Set on a 5 acre property, Binnowee B&B
is in a quiet rural location but central to many local facilities
and attractions, making it a great base for exploring the region.
Cleland
Wildlife Park is close by and Warrawong
Sanctuary is a short 10 minute drive away – both are
great places to see some of our native wildlife. Guided night
walks are a feature at Warrawong. The Heysen Trail is just across
the road and there are many excellent walking tracks in the
area. The McLaren Vale wine region is a 40 min drive away.
Kangaroos are frequent visitors to the property;
there are resident ring-tail possums and the occasional koala
pays a visit. The name Binnowee is an Aboriginal name meaning
“place of many birds” and if you are interested
in bird watching, there are many different birds to look out
for. Binoculars are available on request.
At the end of the day, relax on our beautiful
deck overlooking the trees and distant views, enjoy the ambience
of the hills and listen to the frogs and the birds. Guests are
welcome to wander around the property and look out for the birds
and wildlife.
Well behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.
There is a fenced off area where they can have a run around
but while walking around the rest of the property, they must
be kept on a leash.
Binnowee is a non smoking establishment.
